Just Keep at It: The Little Scribe Is a Total Grind!

Shen Ci accidentally travels to the end of the Dayong dynasty, where war rages everywhere. To survive, she disguises herself as a man and becomes a low-ranking clerk at the county office.

While everyone else slacks off and coasts on their salaries, she pushes herself harder than the entire office: sorting accounts, updating household registers, stabilizing grain prices, and coordinating military supplies. From a minor county clerk to a prefectural office administrator, then to head of logistics for the military command and director of wartime civil affairs.

From supplying the Northern Expedition to reforming people’s livelihoods, she earns the merit of supporting the dynasty’s founder. No one among the court officials realizes that the first-rank chancellor who takes part in court affairs every day is a woman.

Everyone: “The chancellor is ruthless and shrewd, a once-in-a-generation stateswoman!”

Shen Ci pulls her official robes tighter: “You flatter me. I only wanted to live a quiet, safe life.”
