The Scrap-Collecting Dad Is Actually the God of War of the Northern Frontier

He wore worn-out work shoes with holes in them and pedaled a tricycle collecting scrap. His mother-in-law beat him with a feather duster, his brother-in-law splashed red wine on him, and his ex-wife forced him to sign divorce papers.

Everyone called him a good-for-nothing, a piece of trash, a poor loser who couldn’t even support his own daughter.

Until one day, to save face for his daughter, he pulled a navy-blue suit that had been gathering dust for six years out of a battered woven sack.

On the red carpet at Dewei International School, the principal bowed to him. “Mr. Lin, the VIP lounge is ready.”

And the man who had splashed wine on him was taken away by financial investigators right there on the spot.

Who was he, really?
