The Warehouse I Guarded Was Looted Clean

The thing Lin Yi wants most in this life is to start over as a decent person.

He’s already paid his dues for the years he spent taking the fall for his big brother.

Now that he’s out, he doesn’t want to get mixed up in that life again or take the blame for anyone.

His big brother gets him a job.

Guarding a building-materials warehouse.

It’s not glamorous, but it’s honest work.

But an enormous order that comes out of nowhere drags him back into deep, murky waters.

A batch of dead stock that had sat in the warehouse for months, unwanted by anyone, is bought up in full.

They’re sent to an underground construction site in the north of the city.

Load up.

Keep quiet.

Ask no questions.

Other people watch the news. Lin Yi watches the orders.

Other people believe rumors. Lin Yi believes the flow of goods.

He knows nothing about astronomy or the big picture.

He only knows warehouses.

He knows goods.

And he knows people.

This time, what he reads in the goods is more terrifying than anything he could hear in the news.

While everyone thinks everything is normal, the people fighting for their lives have already begun to make their moves.
