This is a world where mirrors and steam coexist. A hundred years ago, the discovery of the "Way of Reflection" gave humans power beyond mortals - the awakened could gain the ability to reflect all things, control mirrors, and predict the future through the promotion sequence.
But the price of power is loss of control. There is an "abyss image" living in the body of every awakened person. When the power is out of control, the person will turn into a mirror image monster and be pulled into the eternal mirror abyss.
