A political comeback, reborn with foresight, aided by benefactors, and rising straight to the top. Packed with thrilling payoffs, with no humiliation or self-righteous heroics, he charges all the way to the peak!
In his previous life, he was framed and wrongfully imprisoned. He spent half his life behind bars, while the people who had framed him sat in the lofty positions he had spent his whole life looking up to but could never approach. His life was a long, bitter rain, and no one ever held an umbrella over him.
In this life, he returns reborn without resentment or a thirst for revenge. He does only one thing: takes the civil service exam.
He walks back into the very place that once buried him, starting his life over as a low-ranking civil servant. Drawing on the experience and insight gained through the ups and downs of half a lifetime in his previous life, he advances along this thorny political path one step at a time, cautiously and slowly.
He meets benefactors and opponents alike. Some lend him a hand at crucial moments, while others stab him when he is at his most vulnerable. He has seen the darkness of the world, and the little glimmer of light deep in human nature that refuses to go out. Before the storm arrives, he quietly makes sure the umbrellas are ready.
His wish in this life is simple: to hold an umbrella over the people.
Not to clear his name, and not to prove anything, but because he knows there are still many people in this world just like he once was, walking through the rain and the dark with no one to light the way ahead.
Over twenty years of upheaval, he rises from an obscure junior secretary to ever higher positions in government. He owes it not to luck or political maneuvering, but to a conscience tempered by hardship that has never quite grown cold.
The wind stretches for thousands of miles; he journeys on, keeping the distant in his heart.
The writing is really good. The male and female protagonists have the right views and share the same goals. I urge you to update. I give it a thumbs up, it's not bad. It's not like other authors who write the male protagonist as a god-like existence. It's too ridiculous. This book is closer to reality. I must support it.
I will be the first to comment. If an old book friend comes to report, thank you! Again, are there any supportive leaders?
This book does not appear to be retarded and is worth reading.
