"Daxia, March 22, 2025. The twenty-third day of the second lunar month."
"Weather: Sunny."
"This should have been a season of birdsong, blooming flowers, and nature's revival. Instead, I leapt from a thirteen-story building!"
"And ended my exhausting life..."
Xuan Shisan, a wrongful-death victim from Daxia, was driven to suicide after being set up in life.
After his death, the Yin-Yang Book, an heirloom left by his grandfather, accompanied his soul to the underworld.
And so began the legendary career of a little ghost...
He subdued Chi You, beat up Gonggong, tugged on Xiangliu's tail, and stole the bell from the Drought Demon.
He became sworn brothers with Black and White Impermanence, and made a pact to be sworn brothers for three lifetimes with Ox-Head and Horse-Face. Kuafu and Xingtian were his friends, while Taotie and Qiongqi willingly served as his mounts.
With the Brush of Mountains and Rivers in hand and the Banner of Ten Thousand Ghosts strapped to his back, he judged life and death with one hand and wielded Yin and Yang with the other.
"Everyone says I'm the ghost world's biggest headache, but when the Ten Kings of Hell see me, they're genuinely delighted..."
"Really!"
"Look, they're so happy they're crying..."
