A bamboo shoot breaks through the earth. The old Daoist says, “Everyone has their own fate.”
A young soldier from the twentieth century fell just before dawn.
He arrived in a world that made no sense.
He didn't know what it meant for everyone to have their own fate.
He only knew to clench his fist and say:
“If I go save her, then that's my fate.”
That night, he killed seven people and saved one girl.
And he plunged himself into an even greater vortex:
pursuers, betrayal, cause and effect, and the price to be paid.
He discovered that the world's “injustice” could never be set right by killing a few villains.
And the master who watched coldly from the sidelines seemed to have been waiting for him to ask that question all along:
“Master... are you still human?”
