Synopsis: African Storm
With 490,000 yuan in debt back home and debt collectors driving him into a corner, Lin Yi is forced to travel to Nigeria, Africa, a country decades behind his own. He thinks he is fighting for survival in a desperate situation, never realizing that from the moment he sets foot in Lagos, he has already become a pawn.
The mysterious, icy, mixed-race heiress Qin Youyi hands him a contract, and a trap along with it. Ye Xiaohe, his gentle and charming Chinese assistant, sends him a warning text late at night, then vanishes without a trace. Meng Wantang, a fiery and forceful businesswoman, lends him a million yuan at a stroke, yet places a huge bet on him.
Three women, three cards. Each one could save his life, and each one could take it.
A cargo ship in the harbor is set ablaze. A derelict warehouse hides priceless equipment and a dead man's diary. After vanishing back home, Lin Yi's younger brother turns up in an African black prison. Lin Yi discovers that the mastermind behind it all is none other than Zhao Chongli's older brother, Zhao Chongyi, a man with connections everywhere, and their father, Zhao Tiesheng, whose heart is colder than a viper's.
They don't want money. They want him to destroy his one and only source of support with his own hands.
A man with nowhere left to turn must either fight for his life or bite back. Lin Yi chooses a third path: with the mind of an investment banking elite, he dances on the edge of a blade and makes everyone who uses him pay.
He will clear his debts in three months and command half of Lagos's business world within a year.
As the women who once looked down on him all fall for him, and his enemies finally realize they picked a fight with the wrong man, this penniless nobody, abandoned by the whole world, is about to unleash a storm of his own across Africa.
