I Became the Amnesiac Male Lead's Vicious Cannon-Fodder Ex-Wife

I had just paid off the mortgage on my 120-square-meter home when I fell asleep and transmigrated. When I woke up, I found myself in the ancient romance novel The Marquis Won't Let Me Run Away, which I'd stayed up late reading, as the villainous supporting character with the same name: the cannon fodder who gets eaten by wolves.

A calculating orphan who always puts herself first, she encounters the gravely injured, amnesiac male lead while gathering herbs and, taken by his looks, pretends to be his wife. She's good at acting helpless, but really treats him as a long-term meal ticket and free bodyguard, making him do hard labor while she lies at home eating fruit. Her most outrageous move: making him sleep on the floor every night while hinting that they should share a bed and have children. When he turns her down, saying he hasn't fully recovered, she wails that he doesn't love her.

He smiles. "I knew it all along. Thank you for letting me live again."
