After spending two years in prison, Chen Fan returned to the old Xiba Lane district with a rough-and-ready streetwise edge.
No connections, no backers, just a local tough who grew up in the alleyways.
Sharp-tongued and funny, proud and unruly, he’s never afraid to fight or get things done. He protects the neighbors, treasures loyalty, never starts trouble, and never backs down from it.
Local bullies want to take over the old street, criminal gangs run rampant, and underworld bosses keep showing up to pick fights.
He doesn’t cozy up to the powerful or play mind games. With nothing but a backbone of steel and a heart full of fire, he fights his way into setting the rules.
He protects the old street and its neighbors, gathers his brothers, and makes his way in the underworld.
From a small-time alley tough, he rises step by step, sweeps away the local bullies across the city, and stakes his claim in Jiangcheng’s underworld!
A rags-to-riches comeback, street-level thrills, and brotherhood, with nonstop payoffs and no frustrating setbacks!
