Wei Xiaobao is clever and smooth-talking. After helping the Heaven and Earth Society, a “Restore the Ming, overthrow the Qing” organization, drive off Qing troops out of a sense of loyalty, he somehow ends up following their orders and sneaking into the palace as an uncircumcised fake eunuch. His mission is to steal the Forty-Two Chapters, which contain secrets of the Qing dynasty. By chance, he meets the disguised Emperor Kangxi, and the two become close friends. Inside the palace, Ao Bai plots to seize the throne, while the cult known as the Divine Dragon Sect holds the real Empress Dowager captive and sends someone to impersonate her, also hoping to steal the Forty-Two Chapters. Using his wit and resourcefulness, Wei Xiaobao plays all sides, helping his good friend Kangxi while figuring out how to serve the Heaven and Earth Society.
The more you watch, the better you look, and the more you fight, the braver you become!
It's very interesting. The story has the same ups and downs as the movie. It's humorous and clear about love and hate. It portrays various characters vividly.
