Taking Orders at Three in the Morning

Orders placed at three in the morning are never from people.

My name is Lin Pingan, and I’m a delivery driver.

I’ve seen torrential rain at one in the morning, a car crash at two, and an empty city at three.

I thought I’d seen every side of this city.

That was before I pushed open an apartment entrance that didn’t exist.

Only then did I realize that all of us were nothing more than food it kept in captivity.

And now, it’s time to eat.
