"You see, I am truly God."
The man with hair knotted into a bird's nest squatted in the corner of the hospital bed, stretched out two fingers, pinched the air in front of him, and then tugged.
The air cracked.
No, it's not an exaggeration. It really cracked.
A dark crack appeared out of thin air at his fingertips, like a piece of transparent glass that had been broken into pieces, with gray-white mist still seeping out from the edge of the crack. He stuck his head into the crack, looked around, then retracted with a smile, and stretched out his hand to smooth the crack, as casually as closing a curtain.
"Did you see it? Void." He licked his chapped lips, "Would you like to go in and play? It's really fun inside. There are talking stars."
I stood there, motionless.
