Pan Zhongguo’s life goals are simple: sleep, eat, and coast until he dies.
Then, on his sixteenth birthday, he draws the legendary [Sleep God] card.
He thinks this is the start of his rise to the top, but when he gets home, he finds:
His dad, [Thunder God], arguing with his mom, [Flower God], over the electricity bill. The living room is filled with lightning and thunder, and it’s raining dandelions. His little sister, [Void God], is trying to teleport the family dog to Mars for an adventure.
This is the Pan family, a “household of divine lunatics” full of rotten eggs.
Other people’s gods are aloof CEOs or battle machines.
The gods in Pan Zhongguo’s family do nothing but wreck the house, waste electricity, and create noise pollution. Their only other purpose is to embarrass him so badly in front of his classmates that he wants to drop dead on the spot.
When the top student next door, who drew the [Judgment Angel] card, comes over to provoke him,
Pan Zhongguo sighs, lies flat, and closes his eyes.
“Dad, aim your lightning properly. Mom, don’t bite my crotch with your man-eating flowers. Sis, move your damn portal out of the principal’s office!”
“As long as I fall asleep, there’s nothing a nightmare can’t solve!”
