A Wish-Fulfillment Hero? Sorry, This Is the Backrooms

[The Backrooms] [Exploration] [No Saintly Protagonists] [Original Setting] [Anime Characters]

(Most of this work is based on the W version of the Backrooms, though it also draws on some other versions. It includes plenty of original worldbuilding and some reasonable adaptations, so even readers who aren’t familiar with the Backrooms can enjoy it. Oh, and two anime characters, Xiedie and Furina, will also appear.)

Ye Chen, Wang Hao, Xiedie, and Furina make up a Backrooms dream team, ready to write their own romantic story in the Backrooms. (Actually, it’s not that romantic.)

…

“Whoa! Did every divine entity in the whole Backrooms show up? Nooo!”

“Oh no, it’s a twenty-death zone. We’re doomed. (Sorrow.)”

“Damn it, why are the forces of evil always picking on the four of us? Run, or we’ll end up in pieces!”

“Author, you actually dare to put an instant-death level in here? Have a conscience, have a conscience! Conscience, conscience, it’s all been eaten by dogs.”

“I’ve figured it out. The author’s treating us like dogs.”

“Wait, we actually get the same treatment as dogs? How come I didn’t know?”

…

What, you’re asking about plot armor? Sorry, this is the Backrooms.
