I recently read Chu Xin Diao, and decided to try writing my own Investiture of the Gods fishing tale, combining it with the original classic:

Jiang Ziya was a disciple of the Kunlun Mountain Jade Void Palace Fishing Association. His master, Yuanshi Tianzun, taught him the “God-Striking Fishing Technique,” which catches not fish, but the fortune of immortals.
Armed with the “Investiture Fishing Rod,” Jiang Ziya descends the mountain and forms a “fishing dream team,” taking on the anglers of the Jie Sect in an earth-shattering fishing battle.
