Portraits of Champions

Chengdu AG Super Play Club is a legendary team in the Honor of Kings Professional League (KPL), renowned for its glorious history and dominance. Many fans call it “the KPL’s first dynasty.”

The Road to Glory: From the Bottom to the Top

AG Super Play Club’s journey reads like an inspiring underdog story. Founded in 2016, it was one of the KPL’s original teams. It reached the finals several times but fell short of the championship each time, earning the frustrating label “perennial runner-up.” In 2018, the team was unfortunately relegated to the secondary league.

But true kings never give up. In 2019, AG Super Play Club made a powerful return to the KPL by acquiring BA Black Pineapple’s league slot, and claimed the first KPL Autumn Split championship in its history that same year, announcing the king’s return. Starting in 2023, AG Super Play Club entered its own “dynasty era,” winning championship after championship across various tournaments and establishing unmatched dominance.
