In the early morning, the barking of wild dogs outside the window sounded on time.
Zhou Zheng and Tang Wei woke up from their dreams and found that the entire community was immersed in a sticky dark red light. The street lamp that had been broken for three months was on, emitting an ominous blood-colored halo, and the wild dog barking downstairs froze and collapsed in the red light, no longer alive.
And this is just the beginning.
When the security guard smiled and waved to them downstairs, when the enthusiastic neighbors knocked on the door persistently in the early morning to "help", and when the entire community staged a silent and harmonious tea party in the red light, Zhou Zheng and Tang Wei realized in despair: the daily life they were familiar with had completely collapsed.
Under the red light, all the neighbors are "alive", but no longer human. They remember your name, imitate the habits of their lifetime, persuade you to open the door in the most friendly tone, and invite you to join them with the most reasonable excuse.
The only rule of survival is not to trust any familiar face.
But the food is decreasing, the water is running out, and the red light will rise and fall like a tide every once in a while. When the red light is at its strongest, even closed doors and windows are no longer safe...
When the whole world is smiling at you and whispering "Open the door", how long can you hold on?
