Synopsis

Xin An, a gray dog beastman, grew up moving from place to place. He had long since grown accustomed to loneliness and distance, until he met Ye Chen, a folded-ear gray dog, in high school. Their similar souls unexpectedly clicked, and they became the inseparable “gray dog brothers” in everyone’s eyes. The boys’ innocent first love and close bond quietly filled Xin An’s lonely youth.

An unforeseen misunderstanding left Xin An consumed by suspicion and avoidance. He vanished without a trace, cutting off all ties and moving far away, burying his love deep in his heart until it became a lingering knot of regret that haunted him for years.

Years later, in a strange, bustling metropolis, Xin An unexpectedly runs into Dong Yu, Ye Chen’s childhood friend, and learns that Ye Chen is seriously ill. Long-buried memories come rushing back, along with the guilt, longing, and unspoken love Xin An had kept suppressed. Torn between continuing to run away and facing his true feelings, he finally overcomes his cowardice and sets out for home, hoping to make amends for the past and untangle the regrets and heartache that have bound him for years.

This is a story about loneliness, missed chances, and redemption. It tells of two souls who meet and come to understand each other, only to part in regret, before finally finding the courage to face their true feelings and make peace with the past.

A Scathing Take: Your Furry Stories Don't Have Any Basic Quality

Looking for books similar to The Egg of the Stars. Any genre is fine, but there must be no female lead. Two male leads are not okay either, mainly, no romance! Friendship is fine.

Recommend Some Furry Books

Requirements: 1. Some of it should put the characters through treatment as brutal as what the Japanese did. 2. It must be a sweet story with no sudden heartbreak in the middle. 3. It should lean toward work, and the sweetness should not be overwhelming. Please take the trouble to label the numbers, everyone. I do not want to be enjoying a sweet story only for it to suddenly turn brutal.
