The Thief King: From the Start, I Devour the Master of the Green Robe Pavilion

Republic-era jianghu + tomb-raiding adventures + supernatural awakenings + System evolution

When Chen Xuan wakes up, he has gone from a modern office worker to the most useless illegitimate son of the Shanghai Green Gang, and he’s being buried alive in a mass grave.

At the brink of death, the Myriad Heavens Tomb Raider System awakens. From the start, he fuses the Kui Star Kick, the Twin Whole Hands, and innate qi. He claws his way out of the grave, swearing to take back everything.

But Republican-era Shanghai is far more than it seems. The mysterious Qingyi Pavilion has its eye on the submerged coffin beneath the Dragon King Temple. At banquets, sharp-eyed superhumans watch from the shadows. Deeper still lie lost alchemist ruins, bronze corpses guarding sacrificial altars, and guardian soldiers that breathe in yin energy… Together, they reveal a bizarre world where spiritual qi is reviving and the laws of myriad realms are quietly converging.

As the new “Tomb Raider King,” Chen Xuan must carve a path through the tangled factions of this foreign settlement, while exploring ancient tombs and stealing treasures from the myriad heavens. The Twin Whole Hands manipulate life itself; the Kui Star Kick subdues corpses and breaks evil spells. And he must master the supreme arcane arts and attain sainthood in the flesh.

“My rules are the rules. What’s above ground belongs to the Green Gang. What’s below… belongs to me.”
