In 2049, the "Godfall Rain" descended upon Earth. Golden rain poured from the sky. Of those who were drenched, 97% turned into pillars of salt on the spot, while 3% awakened as "Godslayers," gaining the power to kill gods.
High school student Qi Yuan was one of that 3%.
But his awakening was unlike anyone else's. Inside him lived a sealed "Old One," a primordial ancient god shattered by the false gods and sealed deep within human genes. The cruelest irony was that this ancient god had existed before human civilization was born. It was the "true god."
Qi Yuan must not only fight the false gods who have descended upon Earth, but also endure the corruption brought on by the ancient god's gradual awakening. Every time he uses its power, he moves one step closer to being possessed by it.
He has only three years.
In that time, he must either find a way to seal the ancient god forever or, before he loses control completely, kill every false god and put an end to this deception that has continued for ten thousand years.
