A Middle-Aged Makeover and Comeback: The Innocent Intern Is Stunned

Five years after graduation, I looked in the mirror and saw a receding hairline almost at the crown of my head, dark circles like I’d been punched, a beer belly bigger than my chest, and skin oily enough to fry food.

I got rejected on blind dates because I “looked forty,” and nearly worked myself to death pulling all-nighters. That was when I got bound to the [Male God Makeover System].

[Ding! Host’s current appearance score: 35 (middle-aged, greasy version). Assessment: The kind of person nobody would want to sit next to on the subway.]

[Daily mission: Jog five kilometers. Reward: Subcutaneous fat -0.3%, skin oil -1%, dark circles reduced by 0.5%.]

Me: ??? That’s it?

[Long-term mission: Go to bed before 10 p.m. every night. Reward: Slight adjustment to hair follicle activity, hair volume +0.5%, hairline moves forward 0.1 mm!]

[Special mission: Give up beer and barbecue. Reward: Waistline -1 cm, the outline of your abs begins to show.]

I put up with it all for the sake of getting handsome!

Running, going to bed early, quitting alcohol, controlling oily skin, using hair-growth serum… Six months later

Then one day, I was just getting a cup of warm water in the office pantry and took a sip.

Every woman in the office suddenly fell silent.

Even Su Wanning, the aloof goddess intern who’d just joined the company, blushed and asked for my contact details.

Wait, all I did was jog, go to bed early, get up early, and quit beer and barbecue…

How did I become the company’s number-one middle-aged male god?
