Trapped in the Mountains, Imprisoned on the Road

A group of people head into the mountains to conduct a field survey. They are all kindhearted and get along well, never arguing or scheming against one another. But they accidentally wander into a mysterious forest and find themselves trapped in a desperate situation.

Their compass stops working, and all communication is completely cut off. No matter which direction they go, they keep ending up back where they started, never able to leave the mountains.

There are no ferocious beasts, poisonous insects, wicked people, or ghosts in the mountains. Only warped space and distorted time trap them, layer upon layer.

They work together and support one another, trying every possible way to find an escape, but they can never break free of the forest's grip.

As the days pass, their bodies and minds are gradually worn down. In the end, no one manages to leave. The vast mountains become the final resting place for them all.
