Lu Yuan transmigrates and becomes the proprietor of a dilapidated restaurant on the verge of closing during the Hongwu era.
The previous owner was in debt, the landlord was pounding on the door, the workers had run off, and all that remained on the stove was a piece of rotten meat.
Fortunately, in his previous life he ran a restaurant. One bowl of scallion oil noodles and one pot of braised dishes later, he manages to breathe life back into the cold kitchen.
Then an old man in rough clothes comes in to eat. He finishes his meal without paying and complains that the meat is too expensive.
Only later does Lu Yuan learn that the old man is Zhu Yuanzhang.
After that, he somehow gets dragged into the Crown Princess's sickroom, the Crown Prince's grandson's meals, infighting in the Eastern Palace, the imperial granaries, and the battlefield on the northern frontier, until the Ming fleet sails across the sea to the other side.
Lu Yuan keeps dodging trouble while saving a whole bunch of people who were supposed to die.
But the one thing he most wants to say is: I'm just a cook. Don't give me an official post.
Well written essay
Whether a slow-paced book is good or bad depends on the individual. Anyway, I quite like this style. Come on💪💪💪💪💪💪.
