[The S-rank Infinite Flow instance “Luan Shadows in the Mirror” has been forcibly activated. Everyone has become a pawn of fate.]
Shen Cimu becomes Helian Shuo, a seven-year-old hostage prince, struggling to survive the cold treatment and bullying in Chengxi Palace. Xu Zhaozhao becomes Nangong Chaoyan, the eldest princess. She knows she is destined to die at Wangyue Tower, yet she still walks toward him, one step at a time.
In this deadly script that everyone is forced to perform, they fall in love as teenagers and marry in a grand ceremony, yet they cannot escape the fate of confinement, betrayal, and two nations turning against each other. When she leaps from Wangyue Tower in red, the instance finally reveals its most cruel truth. The condition for clearing it had been her sacrifice all along.
But Shen Cimu refuses to accept it. Clutching the white jade hairpin she left behind when she disappeared, he whispers her name to the spirit-devouring mirror. A faint reply comes from within: “...Shen Cimu.”
He will bring her home, even if it takes fifty life-and-death instances to win a reunion as fleeting as a dream.
