Yu Bao'er said he would take the empire as his betrothal gift when he married Changning, but the empire he claimed was all given to you by your sister and brother-in-law, Changning.
“How can I allow the empire of Great Yin to fall into the hands of that regent and the woman general?”
“Though the Empress and I have known each other since we were young, she was merely a childhood playmate I could confide in. If she weren't Fan Changning, do you think she could have become Empress?”
“This empire bears the surname Qi. It is my empire, Qi Yu's, not Xie Zheng's.”
“The Empress has failed in virtue and conduct. Send her to the Cold Palace.”
“Yu Bao'er? My name is Qi Yu!”
Changning said, “Yu Bao'er, you once said you would never suspect my sister and brother-in-law. You never keep your word. This is the last time I'll call you Bao'er.”
