The Book of Revelation records nine natural disasters that will destroy humanity: the Great Flood, tectonic upheaval, the Black Death, a plague of rats, wildfires...
It also reveals how each disaster can be overcome.
For the Great Flood, the Apocalypse Scroll says:
“The goddess who united the people built Noah’s Ark and led humanity out of the fog.”
The goddess was Joya, the first president of the Federation, and Noah’s Ark was the Federation itself.
The Federation united humanity’s resources, allowing people to build a great ship and endure the flood until it receded three hundred years ago.
This is what the Apocalypse Scroll says about the tectonic upheaval:
“The Child of the Sky weeps for the earth, and a new humanity grows wings.”
The winged people, who had evolved wings, built the Sky City and hauled up the wreckage of Noah’s Ark, preserving humanity’s last spark.
Thus, humanity survived the second catastrophe.
And this is what the Apocalypse Scroll records about the third catastrophe:
“The Child of God who sees death shall also see the direction in which humanity must go.”
An Chen, infected with Black Blood Disease, unexpectedly awakened the Death Eye and became the prophesied Child of God, drawing him into the conflict.
When no one can die, suffering will have no end.
An Chen must choose: become Death, or watch the world rot in eternity?
