When I was young, I wrote without restraint, always drawn to tragic romances.
After I transmigrated into a book, I went even further, taking pleasure in tormenting the male lead.
It wasn’t until the fictional male lead crossed into the real world that Chi Yu finally got what was coming to her.
What it feels like to be tormented by the male lead of a tragic romance, then tormented by him again, Chi Yu doesn’t know. All she understands is what it means to die of embarrassment in public.
When an extraordinary personality is trapped in an ordinary body, everyday life somehow takes on a hint of sweetness.
When sincerity and deceit become tangled together, the hardest thing to discern is the human heart, and the hardest thing to suppress is true love.
And so, amid a series of ridiculous twists, Chi Yu carves out an unusual path and finds the first love of her life: a relationship as strange as it is ordinary.
Author’s note: This is a wild, off-the-wall work. The original short story was full of melodrama and made no sense. This version will still have plenty of over-the-top, feel-good tropes, but I’ll do my best to keep things logical. It’s a pure-sweet, lighthearted, funny power fantasy.
Entirely fictional, for entertainment only!
