[Light Novel] [Magic] [Healing] [Slight Harem Appeal] [Slight Ensemble Cast] [Not a Strong Female Lead]
On the hidden side of this bizarre city, some things do not disappear when they die.
Souls lost to obsession and bound by magic ferment in the shadows, coalescing into what are known as Delusion Wraiths.
Clutching the fixations they held in life, they circle endlessly in a loop, silently gnawing at the boundaries of reality.
Ordinary people cannot see these twisted monsters.
They only find themselves lost one night on streets that never seem to end.
They hear whispers from deep inside the walls that aren't really there.
Some even step into an eternal illusion.
To mend these cracks, Guixu, the final destination of souls, turned its gaze upon the human world and brought forth beings known as familiars.
Familiars wander the human world, searching for vessels whose souls resonate with theirs. They form contracts with them and grant them the title of witch.
Xue Lingxu was one such unlucky girl... or perhaps lucky one.
A black cat named Artes had set its sights on her.
Before that, Xue Lingxu's life was as still as stagnant water. Not even a tossed pebble could make a ripple.
But ever since this black cat barged into her life, it was as if the world had suddenly hit fast-forward.
One earth-shattering change after another came her way, and somehow she even gained a group of companions who would fight by her side.
But to Xue Lingxu, saving the world and all that wasn't really important.
What truly brought a smile to her face was this:
She finally wasn't a stray nobody wanted to adopt anymore!
