The Continent of Ten Thousand Races: Kano the Archmage

He was born with memories of his past life in a leaky shack. His mother was a sixteen-year-old Silver Fox girl who had given birth alone, without a single copper coin to her name. Kano soon discovered that his psychic power could detect every detail within a few meters: a forgotten silver coin in the gap beneath the bed, the insect-riddled beam in a neighbor's house that was about to collapse, and a secret hidden beneath his mother's fox ears that could get her killed. He couldn't reveal his talent or tell anyone the truth. He couldn't even roll over. But he could start saving money, one silver coin at a time, to pave a way out for his mother in this cutthroat fringe district. There was just one problem: the slave traders' scouts had already set their sights on them.
