It tells the story of a family broken up by a childhood accident. Twenty years later, with the sudden appearance of their missing second daughter and the announcement of a will regarding a huge inheritance, the family is forced to face the scars of the past, unresolved grievances and belated family ties. The story spans from a small southern town after the reform and opening up to a modern metropolis, and explores the themes of "forgiveness" and "self-salvation" through the love-hate entanglement between two generations.
