An "emotional rain" of unknown origin sweeps across the world, and all strong human emotions - anger, sadness, fear, jealousy - will manifest themselves into physical monsters around them, called "inner demons". Grief can bring about "ladies of tears" that can drown people, and road rage can manifest into "chariots of steel" that collide with each other.
