Tongdui Zhuang is thrown into crisis by a bad debt, and Yin Jiuyou arrives to demand payment as a “creditor.” Just as everyone assumes Tongdui Zhuang is finished, Shen Zhiyi pinpoints an error in Yin Jiuyou’s accounts, leaving him both humiliated and impressed. Yin Jiuyou proposes a “debt restructuring plan”: he will take an equity stake in Tongdui Zhuang by contributing his “expertise,” helping it through the crisis. In return, Shen Zhiyi must personally handle his accounts. And so, the junior bookkeeper is forced to become the Crown Prince’s personal financial adviser.
