Returning from Cultivation: Revenge Begins with Protecting My Fiancée

Eight years ago, the Yang family of the capital was set up by the Lin clan, a reclusive martial arts family. Its business empire collapsed, and its members were either killed or imprisoned. The only survivor, young master Yang Zhan, was taken away by a mysterious powerhouse because of his talent for cultivation, and vanished without a trace. The Tian family, longtime friends of the Yangs, was also dragged into the disaster and went bankrupt. They moved far away to Haicheng, where they struggled to get by running a small supermarket. Their daughter, Tian Yuqing, fought to survive both at school and on the streets.

Eight years later, Yang Zhan returns after making some progress in his cultivation. While secretly investigating the truth, he discovers that Tian Yuqing is being harassed by local thugs. He steps in to help her, and the moment they reunite, the gears of their fates begin turning together again. Starting in Haicheng, Yang Zhan settles scores step by step, from street thugs to rising business stars, from the remnants of the capital's old powers to the reclusive martial world, until he finally sets his sights on the Lin family. Meanwhile, with Yang Zhan protecting her and revenge casting its shadow, Tian Yuqing gradually grows from someone in need of rescue into a partner who can stand by his side. The two struggle between bloody truths and the warmth of everyday life, until they finally avenge their families and begin a new life together.
