My Comeback: A Pothos Plant Made Me Worth Over a Billion

Unemployed, living alone, with 300,000 yuan tied up in bad investments and a recurring skin condition, Chen Xin feels that her life is a complete mess. In a park, she spots a dying pothos with just one green leaf left. Suddenly, she feels that she and the plant are a lot alike: both are rotting where they don't belong, yet somehow still clinging to life. She takes the pothos home and grows it in water. A few months later, it is thriving, and she begins having a strange dream. In it, a child dressed in green tells her it wants to bask in the sun. Later, the pothos starts speaking directly inside her head: “Don't die. I can help you make money.” From stocks to antiques, from stress-relief toys to psychological counseling, Chen Xin races toward a fortune worth over a hundred million yuan with an ancient spirit plant, a pot of peas that devours evil spirits, and a Chinese rural dog that can sniff out good fortune.
