The Cold Case Crime Files

The body of a girl frozen in ice. A silver ring engraved with the name of someone who died fifteen years ago. A red cord that should have vanished long ago.

On the first day of the cold cases unit, there are only two members: a brilliant detective banished to the basement, and a down-and-out old drunk with a limp.

They must investigate a string of unsolved murders: four girls killed in the same way over the past fifteen years, with no one ever realizing the cases were connected.
