When Zhao Heng woke up, he found himself huddled under a stove.
Outside was the sound of gunfire from the Japanese army. He traveled from the rental house in 2026 to the anti-Japanese battlefield in the North China Plain in 1941.
Before I could despair, a translucent blue light screen popped up in front of my eyes:
[The novice mission has been triggered: Kill a Japanese soldier. Reward: Random light tank.
A Japanese soldier who had been shot in the abdomen stumbled into the yard and leaned against the stove where he was hiding to catch his breath. Zhao Heng clutched the stone on which the pot was placed and threw himself out of the stove.
Mission accomplished. Reward arrives.
A silver-gray light tank parked at the entrance of the alley.
On this North China Plain that has been plowed over and over again by artillery fire, a paper tank is better than huddled under the stove.
------Many years later, when Zhao Heng stood on the parade ground at the foot of Taihang Mountain, he looked at the neatly arranged armored columns behind him, the self-propelled artillery made in the arsenal, and the first fighter formation directly under the Air Force passing overhead.
An old subordinate walked up behind him and whispered: "Chief, the troops have been assembled. Please review them."
He withdrew his gaze and turned towards the silver-gray tank parked at the front of the queue.
The white scratches on the turret were faintly visible in the sunlight.

There is a lot of poison and lots of nonsense.
This is a book that requires patience to read. The content is good and it is exactly what the author said. It is not a cool article, but the content is well described.
