A Fortunate Woman Transmigrates to the 1970S: The Mountains and Rivers Hear Me

In her previous life, Cheng Xiu came from a family of geologists and was a renowned geological exploration expert. She spent her whole life searching mountain ravines for ore, only to fall into a karst cave and die. When she opened her eyes again, she was the unlucky girl with the same name in a northern village in 1974. Her father didn't care for her, her mother didn't love her, and her younger sister was always trying to ruin her life. The family had finally gotten a spot for someone to apprentice with the geological team, and her sister wanted to steal that, too. The original owner had been driven to death by them. Cheng Xiu: I have a space at my disposal and modern geological knowledge in my head. The awful members of my family can stay away. She splits from the family, cuts ties, and gets into the geological team, starting as an apprentice. Others don't believe a girl can find ore, so she lets her expertise do the talking. She searches one mountain after another, finding deposits until nobody can argue with her. During a field expedition, she meets Lu Jin, a cold-faced officer on a mission. A flash flood, a landslide, and a mineral map vital to national strategy... They go from disliking each other to entrusting one another with their lives. Her sister grows jealous and tries to steal her achievements, while a former colleague schemes to frame her, but Cheng Xiu uses her expertise to crush every obstacle. Later, she becomes the youngest geological expert of the 1970s, while Lu Jin rises from border defense regiment commander to ever greater heights. When someone asks what she wants from life, she says she only wants every piece of ore she knocks loose with her hammer to do justice to the time she fell into that cave.
