A cautious heroine, a cast full of secret big shots, survival in murder-mystery games, playing the pig to eat the tiger, and lighthearted comedy
Su Ruanruan woke up one day to find herself trapped in an endless cycle of murder-mystery survival games. Each scenario was full of bizarre rules and deadly traps. One wrong move could doom her forever.
She thought she was simply the unluckiest person alive, and that her only hope was to follow the Way of Staying Alive: huddle in a corner and survive as carefully as possible. She tried to avoid every main-plot conflict, steer clear of anything strange, and keep her head down whenever she could.
But she never dreamed that every single person in this ridiculous game would be a secret big shot!
Her seemingly frail teammates were either unbeatable experts who had cleared countless games, masterminds manipulating the plot from behind the scenes, or geniuses at solving puzzles. They could casually handle dangers that Su Ruanruan had to struggle desperately to avoid, and effortlessly crush the bosses and supernatural rules in every scenario.
Only Su Ruanruan clung to her belief that “staying alive comes first.” Trembling and treading carefully, she pulled off one hilarious survival stunt after another: hiding in closets, pretending to be a passerby, acting helpless, and shifting blame to the big shots, all in terror of drawing the plot’s attention.
While her teammates charged in and swept away every crisis, Su Ruanruan did everything she could to stay hidden, afraid they would discover she was the only ordinary person among them.
The whole story is packed with comedic contrasts. The big shots quietly watch the poor thing struggle to stay alive, occasionally stepping in to clear obstacles, while Su Ruanruan wins effortlessly under their invisible protection, still convinced that her survival strategy has reached perfection. In the end, across one terrifying scenario after another, she becomes the most absurdly successful player of them all.
