In the wasteland filled with nuclear fallout, Ji Lin, the former commander of the insane asylum, used chains and discipline to forge despair into order. He took Lu Zhe, the only surviving medical officer, through the radiation rift valley and the corpse swarm's lair to rebuild the forgotten civilization. There is no country, no law, only Ji Lin's orders and Lu Zhe's medicine are the cornerstones of survival. When the outside world called them the "Mad King" and "Doctor Death," the two lit the first lamp in the ruins - not to save the world, but just so that each other could still hear each other breathe.
