When the prince in Beijing wanted to marry a female college student who came from the mountains, the whole city laughed.
Everyone said it was just for fun, even Shen Zhiyi thought so. She came to Beijing with a full scholarship. During her sophomore year, she went to a private club to serve dishes. She was blocked in the corridor by Lu Jingbei. He pinched her chin and looked at her for ten seconds, and then said something that she will remember forever: "These eyes are clean, I want them."
I didn't ask her if she wanted to.
Lu Jingbei's way of chasing people was as domineering as he was as a person. He would deliver bags today and cars the next, but Shen Zhiyi would send them all back, so he would just have things piled up in her six-person dormitory, scaring her roommates so much that they dared not leave. Finally, she carried all her things and ran downstairs to his company. He had just gotten off the Maybach and saw the tip of her nose that was red from the cold. He smiled for the first time, took off his scarf and put it around her neck: "You don't think these things are good? Then come stay at my house, and I will give it to you."
Shen Zhiyi later thought many times about when she started to be tempted. It was probably the night of New Year's Eve when she was cooking frozen dumplings alone in the dormitory. He opened the door to the dormitory. His brand-name coat was covered with snow. He frowned and said that this place didn't even have an elevator. He would have climbed to the 18th floor to death. Then he took out the New Year's Eve dinner cooked by his aunt at home from the thermal bag, placed it on the table, and took out a red envelope from his pocket and stuffed it into her palm: "I, Lu Jingbei, can't have less money for women than others."
He drank some wine that night, sat on the small bed in the dormitory with her in his arms, rested his chin on her shoulder, and said in a muffled voice: "Shen Zhiyi, I had a falling out with my family.
Reader comments
I've read the first three chapters. Let me give you a good review first. The writing is good. I'll continue reading.
It's really baffling. The male protagonist owes 8 million, and the female protagonist works four jobs a day to help him pay it back. He just drinks at home every day to relieve his sorrow. What does their memory have to do with the first chapter? The female protagonist and the male protagonist have paid off so many debts and have lived together for several years. At the beginning, There is no such person in my memory, and the timeline is really messy. Also, how long have the heroine and the hero been together before she is preparing for her graduate thesis? The hero and heroine know each other in their sophomore year, right? The hero has been pursuing the heroine for less than two semesters, and the heroine is preparing to graduate from graduate school? This is not how you study for a bachelor's degree and a master's degree, right? [Laughs awkwardly] [laughs awkwardly]
A book worth reading for a long time
