Snowbound: The Sweeping Monk Takes Down an Earth Immortal with Every Palm Strike

Also known as: Above the Celestial Signs, I Am the Buddha of the Mortal World

(PS: The world is an expansion of Sword Snow Stride. The timeline is set before the original story begins, and some elements are original extensions.)

A burned-out office worker wakes up as a young novice monk in a ruined temple outside Beiliang.

At Qingliang Temple, where even the Buddha statues are peeling, Wuxin chops wood and carries water for eighteen years, thinking this is how he’ll spend his life, with only a lamp and the Buddha for company.

Then, one rainy night, a System suddenly drops into his lap:

Sixty years of pure inner strength poured into him, the Dragon-Elephant Prajna skill raised straight to the sixth level, and the Great Compassionate Hand maxed out.

At the Celestial Phenomenon realm from the start.

The Buddha says all living beings suffer. He lifts a hand and a palm strike reduces the temple gate to dust.

The Buddha speaks of karma and reincarnation. He lowers his eyes and smiles. “From today on, I’ll write my own karma.”

Word spreads through the martial world that a young monk who loves to daydream lives at Qingliang Temple.

Some saw him shatter a Sword Immortal’s sword energy with a single finger. Others say he traveled north alone and silenced thousands of Northern Mang cavalry with one palm strike.

Then a white-robed Sword Immortal, carrying a wine jar, comes to find him. “Little monk, come with me to Taian City for a trip?”

Wuxin simply shakes his head. “This humble monk only wants to sweep in peace.”

Though as he sweeps, he ends up sweeping the entire martial world flat.
