Yin-Yang Eyes: I Can See Ghosts

[The Strange] [Supernatural] [Mystery and Speculation] [Mild Horror] [Yin-Yang Eyes] My name is Lin Fan. I’m twenty-four years old, an utterly ordinary corporate drone. If there’s one thing that sets me apart from everyone else, it’s that I was born with a pair of Yin-Yang Eyes. Ever since I was old enough to remember, I’ve been able to see things ordinary people can’t. Shadows huddled in corners, indistinct figures drifting by the window in the middle of the night, people brushing past me in empty alleys... When I was little, I didn’t understand. I cried and told my parents, only to be scolded by the adults. They said my eyes were playing tricks on me, that I was talking nonsense. Gradually, I learned to keep quiet, to pretend I couldn’t see, and to lower my head and hurry away whenever those things looked at me, never meeting their gaze. I thought that if I kept a low profile, I could leave those uncanny things alone and live a normal life. But I forgot that there are some things you can’t escape, no matter how hard you try.
