Defying Fate with Inner Thoughts: I Save the Jie Sect Through Spoilers

Modern office worker Sun Song dies suddenly from overwork and transmigrates into the Primordial World, where he becomes a disciple of the Jie Sect under the Sage Tongtian. He thinks he has secured powerful backing, but because he has a “born-inferior constitution,” he is relegated to the fringes. Worse, his Dao companion, the Jade Fox Fairy, and his fellow disciple Chang Er Dingguang plot against him, accusing him of secretly consorting with the Chan Sect. His master Tongtian is about to execute him under the sect rules. On the execution platform, Sun Song is utterly desperate and rages inwardly: “Master, killing me is one thing, but do you know that during the future Cataclysm of Investiture of the Gods, our Jie Sect will welcome ten thousand immortals, only to be schemed against until it is nearly wiped out? You yourself will be besieged by four sages and forced to swallow the Sage-Slaying Pill, leaving you imprisoned in the Zixiao Palace forever!” By sheer coincidence, the Sage Tongtian passing by hears every single word of this despairing inner monologue!
