King Yama, Don't Fall for Me: I Ferry Ghosts, Not Hearts

[Bold, Flirtatious Heroine × Chaste Lord of the Underworld + Episodic Villain-Punishing Stories + Reborn Revenge and Catharsis + What Goes Around Comes Around]

She teases the cold, chaste Lord of the Underworld, stirring his heart and throwing him into disarray.

Just as he falls deeply in love and can no longer restrain himself,

she slips away with a faint smile, leaving him to return to the mortal world and watch the show.

“I've seen enough of other people's plays. Now it's time to watch mine.”

Zhan Si leans against him, a sly smile on her lips, as a cool silver hairpin presses against his heart.

“Don't get carried away, Lord of the Underworld. Let me finish tormenting every evil spirit in this world first.”

When people die and are reincarnated, one sip of Granny Meng's soup makes them forget everything from their past lives.

But can those burdened with a blood feud and consumed by obsession truly let go of love and hate, and start over with a clean slate?

If they refuse to forget, refuse to move on, and refuse to reconcile,

the underworld has no right to force those memories away, nor to scatter their souls.

And so, rebirth exists in this world, as do grievance ritualists.

She commands the resentment of the living, guides the souls of the dead who cannot accept their fate, and grants all beings a chance to live another life.

Blood debts must be paid in blood, deep hatred must be settled, and pain must give way to sweetness.

As long as resentment remains and obsession endures, there can be no release, not for all eternity.

Zhan Si, the most carefree and unrestrained grievance ritualist of the Nine Hells.
