Data Lock of the Psionic Era

The “Psychic Awakening” system has nine ranks, and each rank requires passing a “Soul Trial.” Awakeners must break through their limits under extreme emotions. The higher their rank, the closer they come to “divinity,” but the price is gradually losing their humanity. Special branches include “Data Psychics,” who use code to manipulate reality, and “Bloodline Awakeners,” who inherit ancient genes. The financial conglomerates possess the technology to create “artificial psychic seals,” allowing them to mass-produce low-rank Awakeners, but the process leaves a backdoor for mental control.
