Grandpa is dead. Lin Qiu was left with a coffin shop.
The shop is in the west end of town, with a small front and a deep backyard. On the left is a shroud shop and on the right is a paper shop. The whole street is dealing in the business of dead people.
Grandpa left three rules before he died.
Article 1: Don't take orders at night, don't answer the door when you knock, don't answer when called by name.
Article 2: An unowned coffin is made every year. The coffin is sealed on the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month and opened on the 15th day of the first lunar month.
The third one was blackened out by grandpa.
Lin Qiu didn't take it seriously.
After all, he is just a wood seller, not a ghost hunter.
On the first night of opening the shop, something turned over in the empty coffin at the end.
The second night there was a knock on the door. A woman called his name. He responded.
On the third night, he found a few scratches on the edge of his bed.
Lin Qiu began to look through his grandfather's notes. Turn to the last page, there is only one line:
"The coffin shop does not hold coffins. The coffin shop is a place where things are kept. Your grandfather and I have been keeping them for forty years. Now, it's your turn."
But the ink on that line is new.
It was seven days later than grandpa's death time.
