The days that followed were sweet. He taught Wen Renyu to read, made him snowflake pastries, and got chased and beaten for sneaking kisses.
Wen Renyu covered his face. “Are you raising me or plotting something?”
Baili Yue only smiled.
If they could live peacefully together until old age in this life, he would gladly trade his last life for it.
But the Heavenly Dao had laid a trap, and Wen Renyu’s memories returned. He stood in front of Baili Yue, facing a sky full of celestial soldiers, and said coldly:
