Northern Song: The Court Awaits My Comeback

Reborn in the Northern Song dynasty, he became a great writer destined to be demoted three times.

The entire court was waiting for him to fall flat on his face.

Zhang Chun was waiting. Cai Jing was waiting. Even the emperor was waiting.

But somehow, he just wouldn't die.

The Crow Terrace Poetry Case? He wrote the poems on purpose.

Demoted to Huangzhou? He chose it himself.

Exiled to Hainan? He'd been plotting that game for twenty years.

He wrote poetry for the world to read.

His real game was hidden behind his poems.

Years later, the officials knelt and begged him to return to court.

The emperor asked him, “Who are you, really?”

He opened the poems he'd written all those years ago.

“The answer is all in there.”

You think he was demoted three times. In truth, he was pulling the strings for thirty years.
