Near future. After a biopunk revolution called the "Feathering Movement", humans took the initiative to integrate animal organs and nervous systems into themselves. This is not medical care, this is identity politics. "Integrators" are a new social class who call themselves "posthuman citizens." However, the protagonist is a government collector responsible for recovering "disintegrated people" (people who have failed to integrate and have mental breakdowns), and salvage beings that have slipped from the borders of humanity every day.

This subject matter is quite new and the author writes well and is worth reading. However, I found that the author is writing three books at the same time. I hope they won't be unfinished.
